Robert von Finckenstein joined European Capital in 2007 as Managing Director in European Capital's Frankfurt office. Prior to European Capital, Robert had been at Dresdner Anschutz Mezzinvest, where he was Managing Director and Co-Head of DAM Advisors Ltd. in London. At DAM Advisors he originated mezzanine and subordinated debt transactions for German Mittelstand companies totaling approximately € 300 million.

Prior to DAM Advisors, Robert was at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson’s Leveraged Finance Team in New York, where he worked closely with numerous North American Private Equity sponsors on LBOs, acquisition financings and recapitalizations. He later continued with Dresdner Kleinwort’s Acquisition Finance Group in Frankfurt where he structured and arranged notable transactions for both investment grade and non-investment grade borrowers, particularly in the technology sector.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours (Economics) degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

Directeur Général en charge du Département « Opérations » pour l'Europe

Walter Münnich a rejoint European Capital en octobre 2007 en tant que Directeur Général en charge du département « Opérations » pour l'Europe.

A la tête du département « Opérations », M. Münnich apporte son expérience entrepreneuriale et son savoir-faire opérationnel à l'ensemble des activités d'European Capital, notamment relatives à l'origination et à l'exécution des transactions mais également en vue de fournir une expertise à destination des sociétés du portefeuille.

Avant de rejoindre European Capital, M. Münnich a été Associé Conseil pour plusieurs grands investisseurs institutionnels, dans lesquels il fut Membre et Président des investissements des Comités d'Orientation d'entreprises industrielles du Mid-Cap. Il a également travaillé pour un acteur international du capital-investissement, au sein duquel il a conduit deux MBOs.

M. Münnich bénéficie d'une grande connaissance du secteur industriel. Il a débuté sa carrière en 1975 en tant qu'Adjoint du Comité de Direction chez Mannesmannpipe-Works AG puis promu Directeur de production des équipements de canalisation pour l'industrie pétrolière. De 1986 à 1996, il a occupé diverses responsabilités chez A. Friedrich Flender AG, leader mondial des boîtes de transmission mécanique, avant d'en prendre la direction. Entre 1997 and 2000 il a dirigé Elexis AG, son premier MBO, qu'il a introduit en bourse en 1999.

M. Münnich est ingénieur diplômé de l'Université technique d'Hanovre.

Investment Director, Germany

Hans Twietmeyer joined European Capital in June 2007 as an Investment Director in European Capital’s Frankfurt Office. Prior to joining European Capital he worked in the Leveraged Finance Division at Société Générale for 3 years and before that in the Leveraged Finance Division at Royal Bank of Scotland for about 4 years. Hans was involved in structuring and arranging numerous transactions, including LBOs, Real-Estate and Project Finance-related projects.

Hans started his career at Deutsche Bank.

Bernd Schaessburger

Investment Director, Germany

Bernd Schaessburger joined European Capital in September 2007 as an Investment Director in the Frankfurt Office. Prior to European Capital, Bernd worked in the mezzanine finance industry at DAM Capital in London and before that at Dresdner Kleinwort, Frankfurt, each with two years. His responsibilities included origination, structuring and execution of new investments. Previously, he spent about five years as an Investment Manager in a German Private Equity firm, where he was involved in transactions in various industries as well as exit management. During this time, Bernd also served as a supervisory board member at portfolio companies.

He holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Siegen.
