Malon Wilkus is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of American Capital, Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACAS). With $13 billion in capital resources under management, American Capital, both directly and through its global asset management business, originates, underwrites and manages investments in middle market private equity, leveraged finance, real estate and structured products. Mr. Wilkus has also been the Chairman of European Capital Limited, a private equity and mezzanine fund, since its formation in 2005. American Capital and its affiliates invest from $5 million to $100 million per company in North America and €5 million to €25 million per company in Europe.

Mr. Wilkus is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq: AGNC), a real estate investment trust (REIT) formed in 2008.  American Capital Agency invests exclusively in agency securities for which the principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a U.S. Government agency or a U.S. Government-sponsored entity.

Mr. Wilkus is the Chairman of American Capital, LLC, the fund management portfolio company of American Capital, Ltd.

He has served on the board of over a dozen middle market companies in various industries.
